Production Facility to Turn Organic Waste to Hotel Amenities and Empower Women

Amount committed of 70,000 USD target. This loan will be funded as long as it raises between 70,000 USD and 100,000 USD.

The loan will be used to expand our production to setup organic waste processing facility to turn food waste into hospitality amenities as well as focus on hiring sales/marketing personnel. We will invest in capital expenditures for setting up production facilities to increase our output to 5,000 goods/ month from now just 300 per month. This will enable us to give jobs to 20 women in the community to make amenities like candle and soap bars from hotel and F&B’s waste.

Liberty Society is seeking a loan to support growth and expansion of their work. Right now, we have demands we cannot supply for our products. With this new facility, we can meet recurring order requests from hotels up to 1,000 units easily for this turndown amenities and gifting options made from the hotel’s own waste. Supporting more women, upcycling more waste, and generating more impact.


By supporting Liberty Society, your lending capital will empower women and youth in Bali and Jakarta – many from marginalised backgrounds – to transform waste into value. Through soap-making, they gain skills, income, and a path towards dignity, while contributing to a cleaner environment for all.

Borrower's mission

Since 2020 Liberty Society, a B Corp certified social enterprise, has been training-to-employ vulnerable women in Indonesia to craft green B2B goods & campaigns working with corporates for their ESG goals. Serving 250+ brands like Uniqlo & UOB, they upcycle corporate waste like textile, plastic and paper into corporate souvenirs. Every purchase made is reinvested into our ‘House of Freedom’ where we give upskilling training and safe community to refugee women. That’s 10% of every proceed reinvested to empower more women (500 trained so far).


Our mission is to lift women out of poverty by giving them productive means of product creation and business. Through high quality, green merchandising, we aim to strengthen the circular economy model for brands and corporates. Our vision is, by 2028, we aim to empower 1,000 women & artisans to upcycle 100 tonnes of waste to create into 100,000 upcycled goods. Our values is excellence, compassion and integrity where every team member get to live into the fullness of their God-given talents in the company.

GOODS & GIFTS: Made with eco-friendly or upcycled materials by women affected by violence & women-led SMEs in Indonesia

UPCYLING SERVICE: Waste collection, processing, reporting, turning corporate waste into new merchandise, gifts or products to be sold.

GREEN CAMPAIGNS: Hands-on upcycling workshops, CSR training for communities and customer activation programs

With this loan, we are able to train 20 women to get income generation from our soap and candle making initiative from organic waste processing. This will also empower 100 in the community to be able to be aware about waste management. So far, we have trained 500 women and those employed to get x3–x4 income increase, upcycled 15 tonnes of waste to make into 70,000+ goods.
