Glean Asia have been leading innovators in the tech for good sector since 2010 and are known for the quality of their work, and their design approach to ensure all of the products are local, usable and appropriate for their users. They value creative approaches that bring out the deep insights from the users of their product – mostly rural Cambodians with low digital literacy and connectivity – and to help their clients to map needs and make products that serve their users well. Their unique skill set, driven by a young team of Cambodian tech specialists, allow them to bring together data, human-centred design, and capacity building. As their focus is working with organisations and individuals looking to make a positive impact in their world, they work collaboratively, looking for ways to educate, improve, and grow inside and outside the office.

The core driver of the predominantly Khmer team is the ability to improve their society around them, from helping governments become more transparent in their work, and harnessing the development impact of using open government data, to working with vulnerable children to find community. Glean Asia’s technological reach touches all these aspects of life and brings more peace to Southeast Asia.
