Another milestone, following our $4m announcement on 14 October
LendForGood is excited to share another major milestone for the platform: for the first time, an impact loan campaign features a dedicated first-loss guarantee* explicitly designed to protect lenders’ principal investments.
Flowt Intelligence Inc, an AI-native fintech company expanding working capital access for climate-smart small and medium enterprises in Kenya, is offering this innovative structure in its current lending campaign, listed by tuiFUND (our intermediary partner in Kenya).
$200k First-loss buffer, funded by grant and equity | $1m Target loanbook | 20% Of losses absorbed before lenders |
Unlocking Catalytic Capital to Protect Lenders
To underpin its campaign, Flowt has pledged a USD 200,000 first-loss buffer funded through catalytic non-repayable capital via a sizable grant from the Argidius Foundation and a generous allocation of its own equity.
This catalytic layer sits ahead of crowd lenders, absorbing the first $200,000 of aggregate loanbook losses before participating LendForGood investors incur any loss. Across a $1,000,000 target loanbook, this structure provides a significant 20% loss cushion.

Demonstrating Modern Capital Market Infrastructure
This landmark listing demonstrates how LendForGood’s unique capital market infrastructure enables impact enterprises to blend diverse funding sources. Flowt is combining grants, early-stage equity, and crowd debt into a single, cohesive growth engine.
LFG Board Member Paul Howorth says: “Reaching this milestone shows how LendForGood is evolving into infrastructure that can efficiently blend different forms of capital and capital instruments to meet the needs of the market. Blended capital structures have been helping move capital and manage risk in big impact investments for some time now.”
“Our platform brings this way of working into play for the smaller investments that help impact MSMEs overcome the ‘missing middle’ funding and finance challenge.”
Paul Howorth, Board Member, LendForGood
By utilising catalytic funds to de-risk senior debt, Flowt can safely deploy capital to Kenya’s agri-processors, clean-tech distributors, and green manufacturers. As short-term working capital is repaid and recycled, each dollar expands access to finance, fuels business growth, and delivers measurable social and climate benefits to local communities.
