Recently, we received a borrower progress update from Red Hat Impact sharing some of the great things Aaron and the Ecotribe team have been working on. Please see the digest below and enjoy the update!
What has EcoTribe been up to?
In the last update Ecotribe mentioned two new potential revenue streams: a contract with Coca Cola, and waste processing from various mines. Unfortunately, the Coca Cola deal did follow through but Aaron is currently working on his first job with Barrick mine, picking up waste plastic roller material. He hopes by the end of March to have this job completed, with the sorted product sent to purchasers. Check out the photos below showing the before and after of product when picked up and then when ready to sell.

What’s next for Ecotribe?
He has also begun a community project which is a barter shop where local residents can bring their plastic and cans and exchange them for food and goods. Check out the link to the video to see Aaron talk about this. It is amazing that he has managed to set this up while also balancing his larger projects and once again is testament to his work ethic and innovative spirit.
