LendForGood Secures 20 Impact Intermediary Partners

LendForGood celebrate a major milestone, 20 impact intermediary partners!

We are delighted to share that we have reached an important milestone in the development of LendForGood: our 20th Impact Intermediary Partner!

And while we’ve been preparing this announcement, we hit 21!

Intermediaries are crucial to our partnership-driven model. They are Entrepreneur-Support Organisations who work directly with impact businesses and have the experience, insights and relationships to identify high-potential startups.

They are often pioneers in their market, doing the hard work of catalysing innovation and impact, building the capacity of founders and investors and working alongside promising enterprises as they work to grow their impact.

On LendForGood, every deal has been vetted and endorsed by one of these Intermediary Partners, who play a crucial connecting role – helping enterprises identify the right capital and structure their investment offers, and giving the rest of us the confidence to back them.

Our first 21 Intermediaries are diverse. They are focused on a variety of causes, including renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, First Nations founders and regenerative development.

Of these 21 Partners, 10 are in Australia, 4 are in or focused on Africa, 3 are in SE Asia (Singapore, Cambodia and Indonesia), 2 are in North America and 1 each in the Pacific and India.

They have all joined LendForGood because the ventures they work with need access to capital to grow.

Luke Terry, founder and CEO of WhiteBox Enterprises, say they joined LendForGood because “LendForGood is at the heart of the solution for the missing middle of impact investing for those that need it most. They played a valuable role in complementing traditional and philanthropic finance for Beacon Laundry. By enabling a community of values-aligned lenders to contribute alongside institutional funders, it helped complete the capital stack and showed how crowd lending can fill critical gaps in funding social enterprises.”

Renai Mouton, CEO of First Nations Worthwhile Ventures explained that “we partnered with LendForGood because we share a vision of mobilising capital to create lasting, community-led impact. LendForGood provides us, as an Intermediary, with a trusted platform to connect First Nations businesses with values-aligned capital — helping Indigenous enterprises grow, creating economic independence and generational wealth.”

Our latest partner is the Pan-African MSME Business Incubation and Acceleration Centre in Ghana. Their founder MacJohn Geraldo told us that they “have joined LendForGood to help facilitate impact growth capital for the underserved “missing middle” SMEs and social enterprises in Ghana and Africa. The objective is to guarantee their growth, sustainability, and ability to create greater impacts in their activities for the common good.”

Yasmine Shah, Director Ethical Finance Australia, made us blush when she told us that “in a world often defined by cold financial metrics, you have emerged as a beacon of hope and shining example of how finance can be a powerful force for human connection and global empowerment.”

We are honoured by the trust and partnership of these organisations, and dedicated to building shared infrastructure to help them grow the impact business ecosystem, and to enabling all of us to lend our support to the courageous founders they work with.

And this is just the beginning!

Watch this space for the next 20 partners, it won’t be long. And if you are working with impact businesses that are looking for values-aligned capital to grow, we would love to welcome you to this growing network.

Shifting the economy to one more focused on sustainability, equality and human flourishing isn’t the work of any one organisation, it will take all of us, and our mission is to provide the connective tissue that makes this collective action possible.
